Cllr Phil Webb has represented Bitterne Park ward since being first elected in 2023. He chairs the Children and Families Scrutiny Panel and serves on the Standing Advisory Committee for Religious Education (SACRE).
Phil has taught in local secondary schools for nearly 20 years. Outside the classroom, most of his time is spent with his young family. He is also a keen sports fan—an avid cricketer and a season ticket holder at Eastleigh FC.
Phil chose to stand for election after a decade of living in Bitterne Park and feeling that younger families needed stronger and more visible representation. As a teacher, he is particularly passionate about education and opportunities for young people. He also champions leisure and green spaces such as Riverside Park, supports nature and the environment, and continues to push for regeneration in Townhill Park to deliver good-quality social housing.
Phil believes local government is about being visible, approachable, and responsive to residents. He is proud to represent the community he calls home and is committed to ensuring Bitterne Park continues to thrive
