Cllr Ginnie Lambert represents Bargate ward, elected in 2024. She serves as Vice-Chair of the Children and Families Scrutiny
Panel, and sits on the Corporate Parenting Committee, Planning Committee, Constitution and Governance Working Party, and
Strategic Planning Working Party.
Before retirement, Ginnie worked as a solicitor specialising in child protection and mental health law. Her long career supporting
vulnerable people shaped her strong belief in the importance of local government and public service. Outside of the council, Ginnie has
a keen interest in culture and the arts and is an enthusiastic amateur artist. She is a founder member of the Friends of Town Quay Park and takes part in her local community book group. Ginnie believes that local government is the best way to deliver services that directly
improve people’s lives. She stood for election to help ensure residents receive the high-quality services they deserve — from better housing and access to open spaces to stronger youth provision and safer neighbourhoods. She is particularly keen to see action on
crime and anti-social behaviour, and more visible policing across the ward.
